Originally from the Wairarapa, Simon joined BvonD in 1993.  Simon started as a solicitor working in the criminal courts but decided on a switch to the Commercial Team in 1998, and he became a partner in 2004. 

Simon advises clients on sale and purchase or leasing of residential, commercial and rural properties, as well as businesses including franchises.  He assists with other aspects of commercial and business law including structuring, company or joint venture formation (including shareholder agreements), supply agreements, terms of trade and related matters.  Simon advises a number of our commercial clients on employment matters and is involved with Public Works Act land and easement acquisitions.

Simon has a young family and, having retired from active team sports, tries to play golf when time permits, regularly attends a gym and enjoys following New Zealand’s national sporting teams.
