Employer KiwiSaver contributions now required

From 1 April, every employee who is a KiwiSaver member should be receiving a 1 percent (of their gross salary) contribution to their KiwiSaver account from their employer.  This will increase by 1 percent each year until a maximum of 4 percent from 1 April 2011.  As part of this, the Government will give each employer a tax credit up to $20 per employee per week to help meet the cost of contributions.

Visit http://www.kiwisaver.govt.nz/benefits/policy/ks-about-new-legislation.html to find more information on the changes to KiwiSaver.
