About

Martin was brought up in Hawke’s Bay, and his first legal position was with an Auckland law firm. Later he became a Partner at Palmerston North’s largest legal practice, Fitzherbert Rowe.

He subsequently set up his own family law firm before moving back to the Bay with his family in 2005. Martin joined Bannister and von Dadelszen in 2015.

Martin has more than 30 years’ experience specialising in family law. He provides advice in all areas of family law, and is appointed by the Court as Lawyer for Children. Martin now has clients in Hastings and Napier, and elsewhere in New Zealand as well.

Martin has held various positions connected with family law including appointment as Chairperson of the Manawatu Family Courts Association, and Executive Member of the Hawke’s Bay Family Courts Association (Incorporated).
