Mark has been a partner of BvonD since 1972, and has experience in most areas of legal practice. In the last 10 years he has concentrated on the specialist areas mentioned above. Apart from working in Hawke’s Bay, he regularly works out of the region, especially in the Manawatu and Horowhenua regions. He enjoys the challenges involved in his specialties, and focuses especially on strategic and project work.
Mark has been active in Law Society affairs, including being a member of the New Zealand Law Society Environmental Law Committee (2001-2009 and Convenor 2006-2009) and Hawke’s Bay District Law Practitioners Disciplinary Committee member (1995-2009 and Chairman 2007-2009).
He has been and continues to be involved in community activities, such as being the President of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand, choral singer and woodturner, and, previously, a Havelock North Borough Councillor (1980-86), a Toastmaster, and Spirit of Adventure Trust volunteer.
